We are looking to deploy a service to handle incoming data calls from a large number of data loggers dialling at up to19200bps. These devices use a proprietary data and do not not implement PPP.
Is it possible to configure a cisco RAS (AS5350 for example) to forward a raw dial up data connections over a UDP or TCP connection to a server equipped to decode the proprietary format?
We would look to engage the services of a professional to configure the equipment but need to know if we can use this equipment to start with.
An analogous application to the above would be an alarm dialler or vending machine or similar. Additionally we are interested in any company that can offer this as a service
