I have a 2610XM with async lines (octopus cable). each async line is connected to console port on another router.
Through these async lines I can telnet to the 'another' routers from ethernet port on 2610XM.
That's no problem. But I'd like to do the same(i.e. getting access to the another routers) from the console port on 2610XM using CONNECT command instead of using Ethernet port. Please don't ask me why...I simply want to find out many different ways, if there is, to get to the other routers from 2610XM.
I have tried many times but have not succeed yet. My question is can it be done ? If so what kind of configuration should I specify on both physical and logical part of the line.
This is my first time with Cisco (in fact first time with a router.) and any help would be appreciated.
