I've configured an AS5350XM for local RADIUS authentication via Windows IAS server and it's working fine for my dial-in users. However, my dial-out users are having a problem.
We use Dialout/EZ port redirector for dial out. When I dial out, I get prompted for a user name and password. The only one it will accept is my local username and password that I use for telnet access to the AS5350XM! how can I tell it to not require a password for dial-out users, but still require login for my dial-in users? I've attached my config.
If you want to control access to the dialout lines, then the command "password " is used in the line configuration mode, also authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) can be configured and applied to the line with the command "login authentication listname". Hence if you remove the "aaa authentication login default local" command, login local should be disabled.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
