If the router does not have an enable secret password, incoming connections will not be able to enter the enable mode. To allow incoming calls to enter enable mode, use the enable secret password command to setup the enable secret password.

Hi

if the router config is ok, I can suggest to check the cabling and adaptors...

I experienced the same problems connecting a modem with db9 female rs232.

To solve I had to use a null modem cable with on one side

- db9 male to db9 modem rs232 famale

and on the other

- db25 female to db25 male of the Cisco modem adaptor

But we have to be sure the router config is ok...

If helps pls rate.

Tks
