I am setting up a DOCSIS lab and currently have a Cisco ubr7223, WaveCOM upconverter, and a sub-band diplexer along with a few ZyXEL cable routers. Is there any other equipment i should be needing?

an tftpserver and some docsis-files, then your on your way.

thanks for the reply. My question is how do I figure out all the downstream and upstream outputs/inputs?

You have to talk to your HFC network admin, that knows what freq. you have to use in your cable network.
There are lots of docs on CCO how to setup your us/ds freq. This is just one of them
