DSL issue

To whom it may concern,

Please see below for 2 dsl output stats from router called Diss and Glasgow.

The DISS output is from a 832k line but the Glasgow output is from a 256k. The capacity figure is nearly 100% on Glasgow but only 24% on DISS. What is the significance of these figures? Response times acrsoss the Glasgow line are substantially worse...Should I be worried at the capacity figure/attenuation/noise margin?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Mary

Hi Mary,

the capacity used tells you about how much of the available bandwidth u r using...at glasgow, it is showing a higher value of 100% which means that you might think of bandwidth upgradation or check what is taking so much of the bandwidth....

Attenuation and noise margins are useful when there is reliability issues with the link...

it looks like a case of congestion at the glasgow end..

pls chk
