dual CMTS cable system

Hello. My company has a dual cmts architecture. One cmts for internet traffic and the other is for VoIP. A problem we see is the cable modems on the Voice side will register with the internet cmts. Because they are not provisioned for voice, they get sent to a sub interface on the internet cmts that will route all the traffic to a null interface. This is fine, except when new ones come online and arent provisioned on the Voice cmts they will register with the internet cmts and accupy an address on the sub interface.

Does anyone have experience in a situation like this? If so, how can I tell the Cisco (Internet) cmts to ignore those cable modems?

no that function doesnt work on multi cmts's :

The cable interfaces that make up a bundle must all be in the same Cisco CMTS chassis router. You cannot bundle cable interfaces that are in separate routers.

I think you have to look at your dhcp-server, what modems/clients are allowed to come online on witch cmts.
