Im trying to setup a remote access lab so others can telnet and view webcam (seeing ie believing) on my rack.
I have one public IP address. How can I filter so that telnet traffic will go to Access-router (2509) and web trffic to the web server?
Cheers,
Tony

What device are you using as the imternet facing device? BAsically you need to set up NAT to translate port 23 to the 2509 and 80 to the server.
That config is different between routers and firewalls, so let us know what device you are using and we can make suggestions.

Hi Paul
Thanks for the info.
Im using 2600xm router as the internet facing device.
How can i foward traffic from remote users to internal www server? SHould I use PAT as I have only 1 public IP address? What should I configure on the gateway/edge router?
Security isnt an issue for me at the moment.
Ive tested out in the lab and I could telnet to the gateway router (telnet 192.168.1.1) from remote user (192.168.1.2); from gateway router I then reverse telnet to r1, R2 Rx (telnet 172.16.1.1 2001).
Is there a better solution?
