Hi, we are using a 7206 for terminating PPPoE users. We got a problem that when there is outage at telco's concentrators, our radius can't handle all authenticate request as all the PPPoE users re-dial together. Is there any way to limit the number of PPPoE login request in centain time interval? Say 100 login request in 5 seconds. Thanks.

Hi,
I'm not sure if there is such a feature (quite possible), but you could try to traffic-shape radius traffic to server, to some lower value.

I should have looked before answering. Here's the feature you are looking for:

Thanks a lot for the answer. Unfortunately we are using L2TP between Telco and our router (sorry I should mention it in my first post):
vpdn-group vpdn--Telco
! Default L2TP VPDN group
accept-dialin
protocol l2tp
virtual-template 1
local name xxxx
lcp renegotiation on-mismatch
l2tp hidden
l2tp tunnel password xxxxxx
!
Anyway I will try to see if this feature still works in my case. And I know the keyword "throttling" to search for now. :) Thanks.
