out of band access

I have several 2811 routers at remote sites that I would like to attach a modem to for remote dial-up access for administration. What modem (brand) would be the most successful?

Re: out of band access

Hi Friend,

US ROBOTICS should work fine.

Have a look at this link which will also guide you attaching a US Robotics Modem to the Console Port of a Cisco Router

HTH, if yes please rate the post.

Re: out of band access

In Todays modems almost all of them support standard

Async communications. For your devices you need to run at 9.6k * bits No Parity check and 1 stop bit. Any standard modem will support this . I prefer V.32 modems, however V.90 modems run as well.
