ports malfunction

Hi:

For a 25-pair connection I have the next results:

Ports Link SNR(dB) RS Errors

Lo0/17 UP 24 0

Lo0/19 UP 26 0

Lo0/21 UP 30 0

Lo0/23 DOWN 0 0

Lo0/24 UP 30 3

I disconect the cable of Lo0/23...

The thing is that if in port Lo0/23 I wake it up (no shutdown), niether port Lo0/23 nor Lo0/24 get up (Lo0/24 goes down).

I "shutdown" port Lo0/23 and then lo0/24 link UP.

I can link UP port lo0/23 if I connected and shutdown Lo0/24.

What's going on?

I feel it may be due to wiring problem. Any errors reported on the remote device? Could you try moving the connection some other free port.
