I hope I find answers to my questions here.
I have router cisco 7206 with MPE-300 processor and IOS 12.2(27).
I use it as LNS to terminate on it dialup ppp sessions from different access servers through L2TP tunnels. The dialup clients are Microsoft windows dialup. The number of ppp sessions reaches 1500 concurrent at max.
I need to make ppp compression for the need of BW saving. Software compression is not an option as it kills the CPU.
- Is there any compression adapter that can support these settings (ppp over l2tp tunnels) , and with these number of sessions ?
- Would this adapter support MPPC compression as the clients are windows dialup as I mentioned ?
