pppoe question

Hello,

We have a 7206 terminating pppoe sessions. We have noticed

that sometimes the 7206 Rxs a PADT for a pppoe session (while the 7206 has already Txed the first LCP conf-req for this session which means that 7206 is in the ppp lcp stage) and responds with a Term-Request.

Afterwards, the 7206 tears down its pppoe session without sending any PADT.

Is this normal? (the fact that 7206 does not Tx any PADT after the Term-request plus the fact that 7206 Txs a LCP Term-Request as a response to the Rxed PADT)

*The discovery process (pppoed) always completes normal

Thank you all!!!

After the time of the idle or session timer has expired, the LAC should send out a PADT towards the PPPoE client and the LNSs to terminate the session. Refer the follwoing URL for more information
