Remote Desktop connections

Hi all

I have a client with a cisco 1603 unit. I am having issues with the password, the previous company that installed this did not give the password to the buisness owner. I have instructions on how to reset this how ever.

I am chasing documentation on how to setup the remote desktop connection (3389) to allow access to there SBS 2003 server from my workplace.

I haven't used cisco based products before nor telnet

Re: Remote Desktop connections

Hi,

The basic way of allowing this is to add the access-list to mathc the traffic. But to understand to what access-list a can you please post the configuration on your router. and also the ip address of the SBS 2003 server and the host subnets that need access to it.

Thanks,

Re: Remote Desktop connections

Ok Basically here is the setup (This is is not able to get DSL)

Dialup Modem ----> CISCO 1603 (192.168.0.1)----> SBS 2003 External Nic 192.168.0.254----> this then forwards traffic to the internal Nic which is on a 10.xxx.xxx.xxx subnet

I only need access to the External nic from there i can manage workstations and the server.

ISPs static up that is assigned to this client is 202.72.190.xxx
