Remote SNMP access on WRVS4400

Hi,

I have 2 WRVS4400 one HW 1.1 and one 2.0.installed on 2 clients. I'd like to be able to monitor them with cacti using snmp.

As far as I done I can connect only from the internal network and this works ok. SNMP doesn't works over the VPN either.

The older version WRV54G works flawless on this task, but it has an option under the SNMP config to add a trusted IP.

I do not see the reason for SNMP on a SOHO device only for LAN since you will want to monitor from ouside.

Any Ideas how I can achive this ?

I am in the same situation. Several WRVS4400 routers interconnected by VPN tunnel, and I would like to get SNMP access to my routers from a monitoring software.

But SNMP is reachable only from LAN side.

Is any way to make that possible ?
