Restricting Calling Number

Hi all,

We have a remote location and we are connecting through async dialup from central location. Now I want to restrict only central location number should should be accepted at remote location.

can anybody help me out??????

It is possible using ISDN but you say this is analog dialing. With that, there is no calling number info sent along with the call. Therefore, I am afraid that what you want will not be possible.

You could run ppp over the link and use the authentication from ppp to achieve your goal but this will require that a call is answered & negotiated before it is rejected or accepted.

We restrict dial in access by phone number but we do it through our phone system instead of the network equipment. Do you have the capability to do this on your phone system?
