Hello,
basically, one PRI would be enough to get you started. The AS5400 supports, AFAIK, 8 PRIs. Find below a link to a sample config of an AS5400 with one PRI configured for async dialup:

Hello,
yes, this is a valid configuration, just keep in mind that you also need the AS54-DFC-CC= (AS5400 DFC CARRIER CARD) to hold the AS54-DFC-108NP.
Here is the hardware config for your selection:
Hardware Configuration
Chassis A5400AC-TS (CHASSIS, DUAL AC, IP+ IOS, 256MB SDRAM, Y-AC CABLE)
DIAL FEATURE CARD (DFC) SLOT 1 OPTIONS AS535-DFC-4CE1= (AS5350 Quad E1/PRI DFC card)
CARRIER CARD WITH OPTIONS FOR DFC SLOTS 2 AND 3 AS54-DFC-CC= (AS5400 DFC CARRIER CARD)
DIAL FEATURE CARD (DFC) SLOT 2 OPTIONS AS54-DFC-108NP= (AS5400 108 Universal Port Card)
