Hi,

You need a Async module. You can use a 2500 or 2600 router as term server.

Thanks,

Nagendra

In addition to the mentioned router/module combinations, each router with an AUX-port can be a single-line terminal-Server.

A basic-config can be simple as the following:

line 33 48

  no exec

  transport input telnet

  transport output none

Just replace "line 33 48" with the lines that your NM-8A provides ("show line" gives you that information).

Hello

Hi Abdul,

Yes You can use this on 2600 Router to configure as Terminal Server.

Please take a look on these docs.

you need an octal-cable CAB-OCTAL-ASYNC. They are often sold on ebay.

Octal cable is looks like this.

my 8AM modem is looks like this.

How can we connect ?

That's the right cable, at least when you want to connect to the console port of a cisco router which needs an RJ-45 connection. Or do you want to connect to something else? Your Google-Link doesn't show anything.
