How to disable "ip device tracking" on a C2960C-12PC with IOS15.2?

Hi,

I tried to disable IP device tracking but without success. I tried the following:

ENSSW203#conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

ENSSW203(config)#int range Fa0/1-12

ENSSW203(config-if-range)#ip device tracking max 0

ENSSW203(config-if-range)#ex

ENSSW203(config)#int range Gi0/1-2

ENSSW203(config-if-range)#ip device tracking max 0

ENSSW203(config-if-range)#ex

ENSSW203(config)#no ip dev tracking

% IP device tracking is disabled at the interface level by removing the relevant configs

ENSSW203(config)#exit

Finally I wanted to see what I did:

ENSSW203#sh ip device tracking all

Global IP Device Tracking for clients = Enabled

Global IP Device Tracking Probe Count = 3

Global IP Device Tracking Probe Interval = 30

Global IP Device Tracking Probe Delay Interval = 20

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IP Address    MAC Address   Vlan  Interface           Probe-Timeout      State    Source

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

192.168.91.99   f4ea.672f.1841 200  GigabitEthernet0/2     30              INACTIVE ARP

Total number interfaces enabled: 14

Enabled interfaces:

  Fa0/1, Fa0/2, Fa0/3, Fa0/4, Fa0/5, Fa0/6, Fa0/7,

  Fa0/8, Fa0/9, Fa0/10, Fa0/11, Fa0/12, Gi0/1, Gi0/2

Nothing happened. What did I do wrong? I really like to disable ip device tracking. It's for testing because our DHCP database gets BAD ADDRESS entries from time to time. Possibly it's from IOS15.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Regards

Olaf

Hi Olaf,

please have a look at this threads in the english section (by the way: why are you posting in the spanish section?), perhaps they are helpful for the 2ks as well:
