Comcast(Pri) DSL(Sec) failover

I'm designing a network that has 3 satellite offices, VPN'ing to the HQ's building (approx 100 users total).

The three offices have a 8Mb Comcast cable internet connection and 1700 series routers.

The HQ building has a Comcast Cable internet connection and AT&T DSL connection.

I'd like to come up with a solution to offer automatic failover if the cable took a dive.

If it makes a difference, I'm considering wifi v/s dsl as a failover in case all cables are interrupted at the HQ building.

What type of router/firewall would you recommend?

Hi,

any cisco router with recent IOS software can do that, see example:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps1018/products_configuration_example09186a00809454c7.shtml

Note, because the VPN endpoints are "fixed", once a connection becomes unavailable, VPn goes down and you need secondary VPN, in practice this is better done with GRE tunnels and a routing protocol.

All in all is not an easy configuration so you may need to be supported by a qualified person to set it up.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
