Hosts on the LAN, including myself have noticed accessing the Internet has slowed down. We have a Cisco perimeter router, ASA5510 firewall and IPS with switches. Can anyone suggest how to troubleshoot the slow acces to the Internet? The latest change on the router was an adding a standard access-list.
Thanks.

Hi,
It is possible that the access-list has hampered internet access.
Best way is to revoke the access-list and then see, whether it improves the internet access.
If it is improving internet access, try to modify the access-list in suitable way.

You will have to start with the basics.
Ping the internet e.g. www.cisco.com from your pc first and then from your switch and firewall etc... compare the results.
Try deleting the latest config change.
You need to locate the problem area by bypassing each componant.
Keep us posted!
