nm-hdv2-2t1/e1

i have a nm-hdv2-2t1/e1 and i want to add a vwic-2mft-t1 controller to it so i have 4 t-1 ports on one network module. can i simply add the two port controller to the module and fire up all four t-1's or will i need to add resources to the nm-hdv2-2t1/e1 to make that work?

Hi Jerry,

If you are going to use the T1's for data, then you can simply add and configure them.

However if you want to run voice on the T1's then you may have to look for the DSP resources that would be required for your setup

i installed a vwic-2mft-t1 on the nm-hdv2-2t1/e1 along with 2 pvdm2-64 dsp's and after the reload i only saw the two ports on the vwic - i didnt see the option to configure the two built in ports on the module. Any ideas why?

Make sure that you have the following command

card type e1/t1 slot/port

Can you post the output of sh diag and sh version.

i had to remove the module and fall back to the orginal hardware. when the new mod was installed i did a sh diag and it was in the output. i also verified the IOS version is compatable with the module. i'll open a TAC case and post the results.
