1042 not joining to wlc 2504

Hi,

i have a WLC 2504, when i reboot it all the ap will be joined the wlc . But when i reboot one AP, it can't rejoin the wlc and i have the following error :

LWAPP_CLIENT_EVENT: Dropping discovery in LWAPP. This AP model is not supported by LWAPP WLC.
*Mar  1 00:03:24.956: LWAPP_CLIENT_EVENT: Dropping discovery in LWAPP. This AP model is not supported by LWAPP WLC.
*Mar  1 00:04:02.958: LWAPP_CLIENT_EVENT: Dropping discovery in LWAPP. This AP model is not supported by LWAPP WLC.

 

I need to restart the wlc in order the ap to rejoin it .

Have you got an idea ?

the wlc version is : 7.4.121.0

the ap version : 15.2(2)JB3

Something is NOT RIGHT here.  

 

1.  Why is the error message saying "LWAPP"?  If you are running 7.X then you shouldn't be seeing "LWAPP" anywhere. 

2.  Look at the logs.  Your time and date are incorrect.  Fix this up. 

 

Are you sure, the output to the command "sh sysinfo" is correct?   Maybe you're giving us an output from another WLC?

If you need to reboot the WLC

If you need to reboot the WLC daily (why?) then I'd recommend you enable NTP.

Hola a todosA mi me pasa algo

Hola a todos

A mi me pasa algo muy parecido, tengo un wlc 2504 y unidos a la controladora APs AIR-LAP 1252 y AIR-CAP3501, despues de interconectar fisicamente todo, procedo a la configuracion del wlc y todo me corre bien. Pero si por algun motivo quito la energia los APs me salen "NO JOINED", hasta ahora lo unico q me funciono es volver a configurar el wlc, entonces si los reconoce y todo normal
 

Por favor soy nueva en esto, y necesito ayuda.

Looks like country code

Looks like country code mismatch between WLC and AP. Please make them same and try again.
