1200 series AP clients associate, but don't authenticate?

Background, we are using a Cisco 1200 series AP with a G radio card. We have the AP setup to do 128bit WEP.

The clients are all 802.11b clients. The clients will see the AP, will associate, but will not authenticate. The WEP key are all the same.

When we remove the G card from the AP, and replace it with a B card, the clients work great!

Anyone have an idea or need more information?

Thanks!

John

Hello John,

Check the data rate settings for the radio interface.

Use the default data rate settings and this will allow both B and G cards to operate. Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron
