350 Wireless Bridge Config Question

I have a situation in which a pair of Aironet 350 wireless bridges were used to link two buildings.  One bridge was struck by lightning and needs to be replaced.  In order to set up the replacement, I at least need to set the SSID.  The old setup has been there so long that no one knows the username and password to the working bridge.  How do I find out what the SSID is?  Can I just take a laptop out into the signal path and read it from that?  Resetting the bridge does not seem to be working very well.  Thanks, Dennis

Re: 350 Wireless Bridge Config Question

The only way to reset the username/password is to reset the bridge to factory defaults.

Depending on the security you have setup on the other bridge you could use a wireless sniffer or something like netstumbler to see what the SSID name and security type is.  The only issue is you won't get the WEP key or WPA PSK if they are being used.
