802.1x EAP over EoIP Tunnel

Hi all,

I have a question about the function of 802.1x EAP (WPA2-Enterprise) over an EoIP Tunnel between two 5508 WLC´s.

The situation is that WLC on Site A is connected to WLC on Site B over an EoIP Tunnel and the question is how it works that the SSID on Site A with an anchor link to the same SSID on Site B can be authenticate users via 802.1x EAP to RADIUS-Servers on this site B.

Which parameters must be configured on WLC Site A?

It is correct that the RADIUS-Severs must be also configured on Site A?

Thanks a all.

Re: 802.1x EAP over EoIP Tunnel

Well 802.1x has to be setup on the WLC that the ap that the device is connected to. So site A has to have the radius servers setup and when authentication happens and the device is authorized, then the traffic is tunneled to site B. Makes sense?

Guest tunneling is different because it's open, where when using credential for guest users are done on the anchor not the foreign WLC.
