A-MPDU & A-MSDU

Hello,

i have a question.

i have a network with a Cisco WLC 5500, cisco 3500 and cisco 2960.

this network is opperating perfectly.

the have some wireless phones and these are not working fine, lose of connection.

Qos is configured on the network aswell as the WLC. the client wants some settings changed on the WLC:

Make sure they have A-MSDU disabled on the radios.
Can you have them disable A-MSDU transmissions on ALL priorities.

A-MSDU Tx:

Priority 0............................... Enabled -> Best Effort traffic

Priority 1............................... Enabled

Priority 2............................... Enabled

Priority 3............................... Enabled

Priority 4............................... Enabled- > SIP signaling traffic

Priority 5............................... Enabled

Priority 6............................... Disabled

Priority 7............................... Disabled

i don't know what this will do wil the rest of the wired network or wireless network.

can any body give my some advise

Hello,

You can use the command:

config 802.11a 11nSupport a-msdu tx priority all disable

for a-mpdu you can use:

config 802.11a 11nSupport a-mpdu tx priority all disable

You can also disable/enable a-mpdu/a-msdu for specific user priorities (from 1-7) rather than enable/disable for all of the priorities.

User Priority | Traffic Type

-----------------+-------------------

0 | Best effort

1 | Background

2 | Spare

3 | Excellent effort

4 | Controlled load

5 | Video, less than 100-ms latency and jitter

6 | Voice, less than 10-ms latency and jitter

7 | Network control

This command will disable the aggregation fram exchange for the specified user priorities. This may decrease the overall throughput for the specified WLAN becaue the aggregatoin of hte frames usually provide higher throughput.
