Access point[3602i] admin status is down in WLC

Hi Friends,

I have cisco AIR-CAP3602I-E-K9 LAWAP AP assosiated with WLC of version 6.

This AP admin status is down automatically without manual intervention . The same issue is happenning with other AP's too.

These AP's are connected to the POE switch. Checked in the switch and AP for logs related to power but there are no logs.

These access points are working earlier but suddenly the admin status of the Ap will go down[ disabled]. we should enable it manually then clients will be assocaited with this AP.

Could you please let me know why this issue is happening ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Anu

Hi,As per your info

Hi,

As per your info:

Configured Country............................... Multiple Countries:JP,PK,TH,US,VN

AIR-CAP3602I-E-K9  --> this is only for European region.

and your WLC is configured for JAPAN(_P or -Q), PK(-C), TH(-E), US(-A), VN(-E).

If you have multiple country code configured then :

Multiple country codes in a single WLC is a not a good idea.   Only common channels will be allowed.  Power will also be curtailed to the most common one.
different country code have different permissible level of power and a regulatory authority board monitors these. So in case you wanna mix the AP with different codes, it will choose the ones with lower power level and operate which might not be to your advantage since the users might want to operate at higher power level.

Could be a bug.  You are,

Could be a bug.  You are, after all, running WLC version 6.X.

Could be the wrong Regulatory Domain.

There are a lot of possibilities.  The main question I have to ask you is this:   What TROUBLESHOOTING have you done?

Hi Laohoo ,

I just checked in the WLC and one of the Radio interface regulatory domain  status is not supported but the other radio interface regulatory domain is supportive. please the attachment for radio interface status.

Can you tell me why both radios operational status is down when  one radio supports the regulatory domain?

Hi sandeep , So you mean

Hi sandeep ,

So you mean because of the multiple country codes the AP's admin status is automatically going to disable status.??  but this is not happening with the other AP's in the same site or some other AP's in the WLC.

While rebooting the AP power is fully negotiated in logs.

Can you clarify if you have any clue.

Regards,

Annapurna.
