ACS backup and restore

What exactly does the backup feature backup? From the documentation is says "Components Restored

You can select the components to restore: the user and group databases, the system configuration, or both."

Can this feature be used to move ACS from one server to another? Meaning, can I perform a backup, reinstall ACS on another box, perform the restore and have everything working as before? Will I need to manually move the installed certificates, or make any other changes?

Re: ACS backup and restore

Hi ,

ACS backup takes the backup for whole acs configuration and it can be restored on other acs.

For Ex : You build a new server and install acs on it. Now you can take back up from old acs 3.3.3 and restore on the new one.

Imp thing to note is that it can only be restored on the same software ver.

Certs are also included in the backup.

Hope that helps !

Jagdeep
