Why does a 350 access point stop and start the fec0 driver so often? Sysloging to a unix system.

Hi ,

Are you able to pass traffic over ethernet port ?

What you have at other end of the AP ? Is that switch or hub ?

Can you try hard coding speed on to 10 or 100 on AP and see if it goes away ?

If opposite end device in non cisco , try disabling the CDP .

a) Make sure you are running latest firmware on AP

b) if you go to ethernet -> advance

optimize ethernet for --- select "performance"

c) It seems cosmetic issue , check ether stats , counters anything unusual ?

Nilesh

Yes traffic flows fine.

Cisco PIX 501 on the other end.

We'll try forcing and then disable CDP and see if that helps.
