Authentication of Users on Foreign WLC with VLAN assignment

We currently use per-user VLAN assignment (using RADIUS attributes) to drop users into different VLANs using a single SSID.

Ideally, we would like to extend this, by allowing users to authenticate on a separate Foreign Controller using the same (single) SSID.

The question is, will this "VLAN-assignment" model work on a Foreign controller, given it performs the L2 authentication. How does the traffic get tunnelled back over EoIP to the Anchor controller and get assigned to the correct VLAN, when the Foreign controller is authenticating the user?

Regards,
Matt

I don't think you can switch the vlan id when you are anchoring an ssid.  Since the AP does the layer 2 authentication, that happens on the foering wlc and then the traffic is anchored to the anchor wlc.

Thanks,

Scott
