available wireless bandwidth in a large-scale deployment

If I have a warehouse with a wireless network (wlan A) and it consists of 25 or so AP's and 100 or so clients -- and I want to introduce a new seperate wireless network (wlan B), do I have to be conscious of total available bandwidth within the 802.11b spectrum or do I just put the different networks on different channels and not worry about them competing?

thx,

brkn

If you have 25 APs in a single open building, you probably already have frequency conflicts - adding more APs (logically separate or not) may make that worse. If your existing APs are all on the same channel you have a worst-case scenario to begin with.

You may be better off doing the following:

- Review the Channelization and Coverage Plan

- Re-allocate some of the existing APs to a new subnet

- Adjust coverage areas according to user count and channel
