I have an AccessPoint (Cisco 1242) that has no Ethernet connection available.
Is it possible to use one 802.11a interface of the neighbor Access Point as bridge so that the Access point without Ethernet connection can get a connection?

For a bridge setup, you need to have one ap setup as a root bridge and the other setup for a non-root bridge. If you want to connect that ap to an existing wireless network, then you either need to setup that ap as a WGB or a repeater. WGB has to connect to a switch in which users will patch to the switch for network connectivity. A repeater can connect to the existing wifi and also handle wirless clients, but performace will be impacted in repeater mode.
Yes you can backhaul using the 5GHz side.
