Cisco ACS and eee pc

hello

we have an LWAPP wireless network using Cisco WiSMs and a 4404 controller. our main SSID uses WPA 802.1x and users are authenticated by a Cisco ACS 4.0 - the ACS has a valid 3rd party cert installed. i've tested PEAP successfuly with a number of OS's.

i'm trying to get an Asus eee pc working with this SSID - there are a lot of guides on the web on how to achieve this but i'm having problems getting the eee pc to authenticate with the ACS.

i get the following in the Failed Attempts log (i've tried installing the ACS Root and intermediate certs on the eee pc)

EAP-TLS or PEAP authentication failed during SSL handshake

in the CSAUTH logs i get:

AUTH 12/11/2008 16:20:17 E 0143 3696 [PDE]: PdeAttributeSet::addAttribute: invalid attr type=200

AUTH 12/11/2008 16:20:17 E 0143 3696 [PDE]: PdeAttributeSet::addAttribute: invalid attr type=200

AUTH 12/11/2008 16:20:17 E 0143 3696 [PDE]: PdeAttributeSet::addAttribute: invalid attr type=201

can anyone explain the entries in the CSAUTH log?

thanks

andy

Re: Cisco ACS and eee pc

Restart CSAuth.exe service, and then try to authenticate again (with

Machine credentials)

For the Logs and Reports for the ACS following URl will help you

Re: Cisco ACS and eee pc

thanks for the reply - problem was with the eee pc. a colleague was working on the eee pc before i got it. reset the eee pc to factory defaults and followed the instructions at

http://lug.wsu.edu/wireless/peap/eee

after that the eee pc worked ok.

cheers

andy
