Configure WLC5508 authenticate through windows 2012 NPS without using certificate

Hi cisco team,

Is there a way to not use any certificate on the client when configuring WLC to authenticate through a Radius server linking to windows 2012 AD?

user account is created on the AD, however, on the client side no certificate is used. Can it be achieved?
