Can 802.11n access point detect networks 802.11 a/b/g during the audit for compliance with PCI DSS 11.1?

Yes, if the AP (autonomous or LWAP) if configured correctly, the AP can detect a/b/g/n rogue AP, Ad-Hoc rogues and rogue clients.
