DHCP for LWAPP AP

Folks,

I have setup IOS dhcp for APs to register with the 2100 series controller at 172.16.1.25 but it does not seem to be working, please can someone advice me what i am doing wrong.

Decimal 25 is 19 in hex.

So you should have option 43 hex f104ac100119.

A nice way to check what your AP is seeing is to connect to the AP console. You will see the AP stating "Got controller address x.x.x.x from DHCP server", and you will see immediately if you provide the right value.

Thank you for the response. It is working now!! but I am noticing that the AP's unregister from the WLC after sometime??? very strange? I am 1250 APs with LWAPP image on them.

Have you added the MAC addresses of the APs in 'MAC filtering list' of the controller?
