DHCP problem with the Guest users via H-REAP

Hi guys

I have local switched/central authentication  VLAN's that works without any problems, except the guest users that are authenticated via web aunthentication ( internally )

When i choose this Guest WLAN i don't receive any DHCP reuest on the dhcp server.

Dhcp server is on the remote router as well as the H-REAP Access point.

Dhcp server works without problems with WPA2 authentication

Do you have any ideas ?

thanks

I had a similar problem where it was fixed by turning off "dhcp proxy" in the controller configuration under controller, advanced

Re: DHCP problem with the Guest users via H-REAP

Hi Pet,

Both ssids (wpa2 & guest) are locally switched? Both of them use same DHCP or different DHCPs? If different DHCPs, are they both in the remote site?

Is the guest locally switched or centrally switched?

Do you have an ip helper configured under the L3 for the guest?

Re: DHCP problem with the Guest users via H-REAP

I had remote webauth/wpa, it worked fine with wpa for corporate users when proxy was on.

I ended up taking off the proxy and enabling ip helper address on the router where the WLC is connected.

Hope it helps

also try this:

Enable Dynamic AP Management under the interface for guest users in the controller-interfaces.(it wont work if they belong to ap/group or interface group)
