I am not very familar with security devices .But our project need to test the file sharing performance between the Redhat ENT Linux servers segregated by ASA 5510 FW as per attach. We would use rsh, ssh , ftp ,rcp protocols in order to transfer the files between different segment (INT , DMZ and EXT ) using the ASA Firewall and Cisco ISR 3825 Router. I have created the relevant NAT rules and Access list ( which I think i should add ) to the Firewall and tested with packet tracer and was successful. But I still cannot transfer files between the Redhat ( EXT ) and Redhat ( DMZ ). There is blocking somewhere in the Firewall but I can't decide. Kindly advise which access rules, NAT rules to be added .And please advise how to monitor the performance of file transfer.
