Guest wireless web auth problem

Hello,

I have just installed a VeriSign certificate on our WLC (version 4.2.61.0) so that when guests get re-directed to the webauth screen a valid signed certificate is now used.

So when the re-direct happens, then get sent to https://100.100.100.100/login.html

Now https://100.100.100.100 is not a valid IP address on our network, its just a 'dummy' IP.

So on the WLC under controller > interfaces and the the virtual interface settings i have put the full DNS name for the WLC, for exmaple WLC.company.com.

WLC.company.com resolved to the real IP address of the WLC (10.50.250.10)

So now when guests get redirected to the webath page, i can see that its trying to open wlc.company.com but the pages never opens....  How can i fix this up?

Thanks

Re: Guest wireless web auth problem

the DNS entry for WLC.company.com needs to resolve to the Virtual interface, not the management interface.
