how helpful is static IP for client PC ?

The goal is to make Wlan more secure.

besides all the standard LEAP, MIC & TKIP implementation, what about no DHCP but static IP assignment for each client ?

For a case that a smart hacker got into our network and got EAP authenticated. If we don't use DHCP, instead each user must receive static IP assignment, like 10.77.88.0/24 with default gateway 10.77.88.178 (not .1)

Does this make the hacker spent more time because he even has to figure out the IP address on the top of LEAP, etc...

Is it worthywhile ?

I think its worth a try, as you said should be another level of security. But hope your's is a small network, if its a large you will get a headache configuring static IP address.
