I think i killed one of my controllers! HELP!!!!!

I was trying to update the ios and my tftp server lost connection to the wlc and the entire controller rebooted, loading back to only a "grub>" prompt. Is there any way I can reinstall the image or something!!! Please HELP!!!!!!

According to Cisco the fix for a "grub>" prompt is to replace the hardware. It happend to me once with a 2106 controller.

so I have to send this controller back to cisco? will they fix it or just replace it?

If you have smartnet on this piece of gear, you will receive a replacement which will require you to return the broken one within so many days.

That is a bummer about your controller.

It is interesting that you get a grub> prompt.

Sounds like the controller OS is embedded linux
