LMS 2.1 RME SYSLOG gives wrong time on Catalyst devices ,but OK on routers.

when SYSLOG dispaly syslog message from catalyst devices , It always display the wrong time. say : the display result is always diffent from that in the syslog.log flat file ¡£ but it is ok on routers

I finally compare the catalyst syslog message format and router's one , they have a different format. The following two lines are extracted from the syslog file :

Jul 1 18:35:38 10.243.127.27 2002 Jun 01 18:35:20 CCT +08:00 %SYS-6-CFG_CHG:Global block changed by telnet/10.243.1.60/

Jul 1 17:00:28 10.243.192.254 87941: Jul 1 10:13:40 CCT: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface Serial4/1/3, changed state to up

I think I do the right config. Does anyone meet this problem ?

The section 'How to Correct Syslog Timestamp' at:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/RME/rme_syslog.html should help you out for this.

Re: LMS 2.1 RME SYSLOG gives wrong time on Catalyst devices ,but

I set the following on the catalyst :

set logging timestamp enable

set timezone CCT 8

and use the NTP to update the time .

from the syslog flat file, we also get the right time (you can see the result from my fist post). but the SYSLOG report of RME still give the wrong time .

I think I set the right timezone , (since we set the same timezone on routers and get the right result),but still cannot get the right result.

any suggestions will be appreciated.
