I have a client whose existing NCS deployment needs rebuilding due to a VM failure. Just trying to get a handle on a couple of things:
1. The licenses initially supplied are 1.0 licenses - from my initial experiences I have to essentially install 1.0, license the device and then upgrade to the latest build. Does this still apply or has this silly limitation been fixed? How easy is it to get Cisco to issue the latest version licenses?
2. My second issue is relating to the fact that the licenses were requested for the VM that is now broken. I am assuming the VM serial that was used to generate the inital license will be different therefore the license will be unusable. Is this a simple case of contacting TAC/Licensing to get the license reissued?
You need to get the same license re-hosted to the new VM vUID. This would require you to open a TAC case with licensing in order to get a license for the new VM. You will get the same license for the product that was ordered.

This is the start of a display filter cross reference between Wireshark and OmniPeek.
The 1st installment is a table of advanced filters. More filters will be added as time allows.
It is a living doc, so check back for changes every so often

I have created a Powershell script to automatically add a Wireless Guest User on Cisco WLCs. (tested on 2500 Series)
The script should be completely self explanatory.
