We have just bought a group of Cisco Devices as NAC (Network Access Control), ACS (Access Control System), WLC (Wireless LAN Controller - 4402
Now we have some policies need to deploy:
- Restrict download from wireless.
- Block chat from wireless.
- Allow Guests browse WebPages.
Then I have a question that:
- Does WCL have features to serve some requests above?
- If have could you please send me a document to research and follow.
p/s: Any feedback and suggestion from your is many thanks and appreciate from my heart.
When you say "block chat", I guess you mean blocking softwares like MSN ? This will be on a per-software basis.
You can configure Access lists for your users :
This will allow you to block some software ports and allow HTTP web surfing. Apply it on the interface of the WLC where the SSID is attached.
For restricting download, you can take a look at this :
You can assign QoS roles to the users that limit the throughput from AP to client. The traffic client->AP can't be restricted.
