New Equipment Questions

Hi,

I posted a couple of months ago about compatability -  One of my concerns was If  our WCS will be able to monitor both our new 2500 controller and our old 4402 controllers even if the 2500 is using CAPWAPP and the 4402 is using LWAPP . The answer was yes, as long as the WCS version was atleast 7 but, we do have some 1020 APs and was wondering if the WCS will see those. The 1020s cannot do CAPWAPP and was curious if the WCS ver. 7 will still be able to see them.

I was thinking of ordering 2, 2.4 GHZ, 2.2 DBI WHITE DIPOLE antennas and 2, 5 GHZ, 3.5 DBI WHITE DIPOLE antennas for one access point to provide diversity. Would this be appropriate for a 1242 AP?

Thanks, Pat.

Pat here's a good link to keep when wondering about support:

WCS 7.x will support WLC 4.2.207 which is the highest that the 4402 can run with the 1020's on it. As long as WCS will support the WLC code version the AP should be supported as well.

What WLC are the 1020's on?  As far as the dipoles are concerned, yes those will work.
