PI 2.1 Image management issue

Hi there.

Anyone knows why im not able to erase / delete flash or .bin file when distribute images to my switches ?

I've set the option "backup current image and erase flash before distribution - but nothing seems to work.

From the console output i can see the commands PI is doing - but never the erase flash command... bug ?

Ive tried upgrade using the TAR file but it fails  , using debug ip scp - message is EOF ? - using tftp it works 20 % of the time but it takes 2 hours to complete and option "insert boot command" is not not working.

------

If i use bin file it works and speed is ok, but then im not able to delete the old image.

Filip,

Are you aware of the root access feature in Prime cmd line?

# root_enable

(set pass)

# root
Enter root password :
Starting root bash shell ...
ade #

Hi Wifi.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Yes , ive set the password for using ssh instead of telnet , right ?

Ive set the same user and pass in GUI image management.

I am able to use ssh and scp when distributing BIN images , not TAR.

Hi Wifi.

I've created a new user and password in root cli and changed it in GUI and now my scp tar is working  , thanks for leading me the right direction.

Strange , i did this once and it did not work for me.

Thanks Again.
