Poor wireless client coverage on mesh network

A site survey was done using a 2106 WLC and a 1522 AP. A CB21AG was used as the client card during the survey. Deployment included one 4402 WLC, two 1242AG MAPs, two 1522 Hazardous Location RAPs and nine 1522 Hazardous Location MAPs. The client is attempting to connect to the mesh network with an Xplore Technolgies iX104 tablet with an Intel 2915AG internal wireless card which is CCX ver. 3. The client is experiencing poor quality signal virtually everywhere even with light of sight and being less than 50 meters away from an AP.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

Re: Poor wireless client coverage on mesh network

What you are more than likely experiencing is multipath fade and distortion. Are you in a piped environment or mining? You might look to upgrade the code on the client device driver or possibly use a cb21 in a card slot if available. The CB21 is a much better card.
