Ports to be opened for Radius communication between WLC and ISE

Hi all,

My anchor controller is placed after the firewall . Inside zone ISE has been installed. So for any radius communication between ISE and WLC , ports such as 1812 and 1813 should i need to allow ?

Yes they need to be opened on the firewall for radius communication. (UDP 1812- authentication and UDP 1813 - accounting.

Hi Jatin ,

thanks for your reply . We are building the new same setup  as below in the doc ,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Borderless_Networks/Smart_Business_Architecture/February2012/SBA_Ent_BN_BYOD-GuestWirelessAccessDeploymentGuide-February2012.pdf

But it is not mentioned to open the ports of 1812 , 1813 except port number 8443 for web auth.

Kindly confirm on this...
