Question about CISCO1921-SEC/K9 license

I've purchased a used CISCO1921-SEC/K9 and I'm trying to figure out if I got what I paid for. The specifically purchased this unit because I wanted to take advantage of the SEC package for VPN.

I looked at the show run and I'm not seeing anything about SEC/K9. The following is what I see:

Router#sh run

license udi pid CISCO1921/K9 sn xxxxxxxx

I'm I right by assuming that this unit doesn't have the Security license? It looks to me like it has an 8 week trial of the license. I want someone else to verify this before I contact the seller.

Thanks.

Send an email to license@cisco.com.

According to your output, IP Base is the only one that's activated.

Re: Question about CISCO1921-SEC/K9 license

I know but my main question was whether the device I bought had a SEC license or not. I don't have experience with CISCO licensing and that's why I'm asking what might seem like a stupid question. The person I bought the unit from, said it included the license for sec but with my untrained eyes, I don't see it. I see an 8 week trial for security and I wanted to verify that I was reading that right.

I will contact the seller if my assumptions are right.

This is why I'm asking you to send an email to licence@cisco.com.

Your router currently have IP Base licence.  If licence@cisco.com determines that you indeed pay for of a SEC license and you got the wrong feature set activated, it can be easily fixed when Cisco sends you the activation key.  It's now that simple.

Re:Question about CISCO1921-SEC/K9 license

You only have ipbasek9 license...
Sometimes, Kind of contract with PAK number come with the device and you need to get use this number to get .lic file on cisco.com/go/license
